We have an urgent requirement for NSW-based Exploration Drillers with one of our leading clients.

About the role
The role is an immediate start for suitably qualified and experienced NSW-based Exploration Drillers working a 14 / 7 roster FIFO or DIDO within an acceptable distance.

Duties

Operate drill rig in a safe and efficient manner in an undergrounds environment.
Consistently apply sound drilling practices and techniques.
Execute the hole plan.
Drill accurately and diligently to maximise ‘Bit on Bottom’.
Minimise breakage and down-hole loss.
Carry out basic preventive maintenance and servicing of equipment and downhole equipment
Present and represent the client professionally
Excellent attention to detail and display a second to none safety attitude
Complete all safety requirements, plods, and reporting as required

Skills, experience, and requirements

Must hold an Australian HR Licence is mandatory.
Demonstrated experience in Diamond Coring.
Demonstrated experience in Reverse Circulation or Navi Drilling is desirable.
Experience on Sandvik DE880s rigs is highly desirable.
Certificate III Drilling in Operations is mandatory. (we can help with this)
The ability to pass a full company medical including drug and alcohol screening
Current National Police Clearance (3-6 months - or ability to obtain)
Current First aid and CPR, or ability to obtain
Drilling certificates -highly desirable
Candidates must have the right to work in Australia.

Your Point of Hire
Due to Covid-19, this role would suit candidates preferably from NSW or states that do not have closed borders and strict quarantine requirements. However, candidates that are prepared to move or stay in NSW during the Covid period will be considered and assessed against the job criteria.
