Monerium was founded in 2016 with the mission of enabling businesses and individuals to use their money on blockchains where it can be sent anywhere, exchanged for anything, at any time, instantly, directly, and at a fraction of the traditional cost. Who you are

We’re looking for a full-time backend engineer to join us in building the decentralised financial infrastructure of the future. Together we will be building the world's first API that enables European businesses and individuals to send and receive money directly between blockchain wallets, smart contracts, and decentralised finance (DeFi) on one hand and bank accounts on the other.

Your goal is to take ownership of designing, developing and maintaining API services for executing and monitoring customer transactions. This is a Greenfield project which uses cutting edge technologies and programming languages like Go and Kubernetes, plus there is no legacy code!

You do not have to be working in Blockchain to apply to join the team. However a passion to work with modern technology and programming languages is something we look for in our team members. You will have skills and experience that showcase your talent, and you will not be afraid to showcase them, speak out, and fail fast. It’s important that you understand we are currently a small team and you will be joining at an exciting time, so be prepared to be part of our growth journey.

What you have experienced

Experience designing a well-structured and consistent API. Our backend is written in Go and deployed to a Google Kubernetes Engine.
Fluency with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL.
Experience integrating 3rd party APIs.
Security focused mindset.
Excited to work in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
Passionate about clean code and best practices in software development.

Nice to have

Prior experience with distributed and event-driven systems.
Modern web technologies experience with some of the major frameworks, bonus if you are well versed in React.
Experience with blockchain development.
Experience with test automation and continuous integration.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience working in the Fintech domain.
