Job Description – Program Manager

Specializing in designing and manufacturing rugged, high performance motor control products for industrial, military, aviation, robotics, and energy markets.
Our client is looking for a driven and experienced individual to lead programs, establish and maintain rapport with clients, and support sales proposals. This person will be a key role in our organization with great upward potential and will work directly under the Director of Program Development and in collaboration with other company departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned):
Responsible for program leadership resulting in successful task execution in accordance with the schedule, contract, budget, Statement of Work and technical specifications.

Program Execution:

Acts as primary customer contact for program activities,
Lead Program Team members within the organization to drive the execution
Provides exceptional customer service and support to customers by ensuring performance and contractual commitments are met
Presents customer briefings of progress, issues, risks and solution approaches; interacts with key technical personnel to coordinate and give direction to briefings
Communicating with clients, sponsors, vendors, and project stakeholders effectively
Coordinating and prioritizing internal resources to ensure timely delivery
Interacts with internal personnel and external customers in all matters including technical, contracts, finance, accounting and procurement
Coordinating multiple programs and driving programs to on-time delivery
Collaborates with Contracts, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Supplier Management in the execution of programs
Manages program subcontract, consultant and material performance
- Creating action and risk logs and driving actions to completion
Provides time-phased need for employee and equipment resources through different phases of the program
Risk management and escalation in-time for stakeholder impacts and decision making
Managing budgets for cost plus and firm fixed price contracts
Support bidding and proposal process

Qualifications:
• Possess excellent communication/presentation, in writing and verbally; skills
• Be able to work effectively with diverse personalities and various levels of management
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Performs work without appreciable management direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment

· Project Management Methodologies (PMBOK); PMP certification is a plus

· Establishing team scope, organizational and communication structures

· Developing presentations for and facilitating reviews for the phases of the program like PDR, CDR, TRR etc.

· Lending expertise to internal team by employing excellent listening and organizational skills

· Ensuring all program requirements outlined in the specification are verified
• Resource for creative approaches to solving wide range of customers’ budgetary and programmatic problems
• Advises higher levels of management and customers on advanced technical research studies, contracts, or projects and applications
• Ability to serve as a representative of the company
• Recognizes the need for cross-boundary efforts and will coordinate effectively
• Awareness of competing approaches and able to communicate company’s offerings to differentiate it from the competition
• Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct, and performs work cognizant of safe work practices

Education and/or Experience:
• B. S. (M.S. preferred) in Physics, Engineering or Science with eight (8) years of experience in high technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with managing multifaceted projects or programs involving unique and/or complex technology. Experience with Electronics design and manufacturing is a plus.

· Advanced computer proficiency level using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and the ability of developing WBS and schedules in MS Project
• PMP certification preferred
• Experience or certification in EVMS preferred
