Job Description for Expat Surface Exploration Driller / Trainer - Egypt

Minimum 3 years expatriate experience
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
8&4 FIFO
Previous RC and Diamond experience

The emphasis of the role is ensuring that the local workers are developing their skills and knowledge by way of sharing your experience and being a role models. You will require boundless energy, resilience, determination, and a genuine interest in working with people from different cultures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working knowledge of drill rig performance and capabilities, including functions of controls, gauges, warning lamps and emergency procedures;
Ability to operate drill rig safety and understanding all drill rig safety features (inclusive of any industry safety legislation.);
Ability to mentor, coach and train the Offsider in the day to day tasks required of running a rig;
Ability to organise and establish priorities, following up on outstanding tasks and closing out any completed works/task where necessary;
Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, including but not limited to, all employees, Management, team members, client representatives, and industrial relations contacts;
Ensure a safe workplace for all stakeholders by maintaining compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, policies & procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

A demonstrated passion for safety and a proactive attitude toward ensuring that safety is front of mind for all employees at all times;
Minimum 3 years expatriate experience
A positive work ethic in line with company values;
Self-starter who will work with minimal supervision;
Drilling Certification is desirable
First Aid Certificate is desirable;
International Drivers licence
