Job Description

We are looking for an experienced marketing editor or copywriter who will help Practicum stay natural, consistent, and attractive in its marketing communications. Your key tasks will include translating from English to Portuguese (Brazilian version), editing, proofreading or creating marketing materials from scratch.

You will work in collaboration with the English-speaking core Practicum team, mainly senior marketing editor and translators. It’s an online full-time job requiring excellent language skills (both in Portuguese and English).

Responsibilities

Translate marketing materials from English to Portuguese or create it from scratch based on content briefs: landing pages, emails, ad templates, social media texts, presentations, articles, and video scripts.
Review and edit marketing materials translated or created by freelancers and contractors.
Follow brand’s communication strategy and Tone of Voice guide, Portuguese glossaries and editorial policy.
Provide consulting on language-related questions and raise such issues for discussion, and then record the results in glossaries, editorial policy, and style guides.
Work cooperatively with the product localisation team and Spanish speaking marketing editor: exchange experience, coordinate glossaries and discuss frequent terms.

Required Qualifications

Native or proficient Portuguese (Brazilian) and advanced English. Knowledge of Russian as an asset.
2+ years of related experience in copywriting or content marketing in Portuguese. Experience in copywriting in English as an asset.
Strong editorial skills, including an excellent sense of language and grammar and ability to explain editorial decisions.
Experience in translations (Portuguese to English and English to Portuguese).
Attention to detail, and dedication to producing quality content with respect for timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field: Portuguese, English, Linguistics, etc.
Experience using Notion, Figma, Smartcat, Google Docs, and other cloud platforms.
Knowledge of language translation and editing services.
