What will you be doing

The person in this role will be responsible for the entirety of the marketing engine. The top 3 responsibilities of the VP of Marketing will be:
Leading go-to-market transformation at new portfolio companies
Providing ongoing company strategic marketing leadership and management
Marketing diligence for potential new companies

Responsibilities

New Company Transformation
Formulating the Marketing Strategy and Plan
Implementing Martech stack and dashboard and key metrics
Creating compelling value messaging and updating assets from the website through collateral
Developing a deep understanding of the market, customers, and competitors
Bringing in strategic partners (e.g. agencies across paid, SEO, PR, content, etc.)
On-going portfolio company direction
Hiring & managing company marketing managers
Owning the marketing plans - i.e. strategy, channels, campaigns, tactics, and budget
Analyzing performance and driving continuous improvement
Iterating and improving on marketing playbook
Target Company Diligence
Perform diligence on the marketing organization at target companies for acquisition

Requirements

BA/BS required
15+ years experience in marketing, particularly B2B growth marketing and demand generation
3+ years proven track record of effectively interacting with executive teams and senior management
Extensive program/project management experience
Able to comfortably dive into any area of the business or product, understand business needs, and facilitate executive decisions based on changing priorities
Financial prowess and ability to create budgets
Excellent communicator in written and verbal form; able to lead and influence across multiple levels and multiple functions of an organization
Proven ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple concurrent projects to success. This position is expected to utilize data and metrics to communicate the needs.
