They are currently looking for a Head of Quality and Operations Excellence to be based in UAE/ Saudi Arabia/ Remote work.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Build the strategy for the Quality Engineering team with a strong emphasis on embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Develop and execute the roadmap that supports the strategy
Define clear processes for reviewing quality defects, overall test case coverage, performance KPI’s and metrics
Define critical KPIs, metrics, and review processes to measure success of quality practice

Demonstrated experience in building a quality organization/practice at scale with a high degree of automation and integration to CI/CD pipelines
Leadership experience setting a test automation and application quality vision, leveraging cloud, DevOps, open source, agile, and performance engineering
Strong foundational knowledge of standard methodologies, test driven development, test automation, performance testing, release engineering pipelines and prior experience with implementing Quality Engineering practices within a team
Strong understanding of end-to-end test automation and performance tools and a tested strategy that simplifies implementation and improves monitoring coverage
Previous experience with open source or in-house test automation frameworks, test design strategies, and automating tests for distributed systems, micro-services, and web services
Strong financial and budgetary skills
Mentor, coach new team members for career development and growth

Qualification & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent work experience.
10 - 12 years’ experience working in a Software Quality Assurance role with extensive experience utilizing the latest automation tools and techniques
5-10 years’ experience as a manager leading a progressive software QA organization utilizing the Agile Development methodology.
Fluency in English is essential.
Demonstrated experience in building a quality organization/practice at scale with a high degree of automation and integration to CI/CD pipelines
Leadership experience setting a test automation and application quality vision, leveraging cloud, DevOps, open source, agile, and performance engineering

Solid understanding of test methodologies including automation, functional, qualitative, and performance against consistent iterative development.
People manager with years of expertise managing multiple levels of an organization
A deep understanding of defect reporting, version control, and configuration management best practices, along with different testing phase best practices and objectives (functional, system integration, UAT, performance).
Comfortable in a fast- paced and cutting-edge software development environment
