Salary range: $85,000-$95,000/year

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Director of Rooms is to provide leadership for the non F&B functions (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Guest Services and Security).
Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the operation
Ensure proper management of the front of the house and back of the house departments
Strategy development and implementation for the Rooms operation of the property
Organize and direct hiring, training and maintain staffing levels.
Personally demonstrates a commitment to guest service in responding promptly to guests’ needs
Committed to making every guest is satisfied
Meets or exceeds guest satisfaction measures
Ensures hotel standards and services contribute to the delivery of consistent guest service
Work closely with other department heads.
Develop and Implement new programs as needed
Support the direct supervisors, the department through open door policy
Create a courteous friendly, professional, work environment through open line of communication
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standard
Other duties as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE ·

High school diploma is required. · Must have at least 3 years experience in a supervisory/management capacity. · Must be a team leader and a team player.

LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS ·

Ability to read and speak English/Spanish and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos · Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees · Ability to effectively communicate with employees, guests and supervisors for optimum operation of the property · Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
