What do you do as a Spatial Planning and Environment Adviser?

You advise on and safeguard our clients public-law legal position for being allowed to construct, have, keep and maintain (new) assets owned by our Client. You have a pivotal function within the project, because without a spatial plan and/or permits, a project cannot be carried out.

Are you the one who wants to be responsible for:

Coordination with the competent authority about the projects and all products that are necessary for obtaining the public right to space for our client;
Attending project management meetings, providing input in risk and planning sessions and advising project management on the subject area;
The (joint) requesting of services by our contract partners for the purpose of obtaining the right to space (tracing, investigations, zoning plan, permits, environmental management);
Monitoring the planning and progress both internally and with the contract partners, in terms of time and quality;
Managing team members and external parties;
Checking the delivered products and testing against the requested quality of the products by the contract partners;
Drafting or advising on (parts of) internal decision-making documents;
Providing professional information at information evenings, council meetings, etc.;
Supervising and coordinating objection and appeal procedures, if necessary in consultation with other internal departments (LAC/AM).

Requirements:

You have completed a course at HBO or WO level (eg Planning, Spatial Planning or Environmental Law);
You have 5 or more years of relevant experience with spatial planning (project-based or, for example, within the municipality or Environment Agency);
You have knowledge of developments in the field of the Environment Act (pre);
You have an affinity with technology;
You are in possession of driving license B;
You are able to represent our clients interests within complex files (and with external parties) while maintaining the relationship;
You are focused on collaboration and have a flexible attitude, where necessary you assist in management activities;
You act in our clients business interests;
You are curious, analytical, driven and result-oriented and want to identify, understand and, if necessary, bring together all (opposing) interests;
You show awareness of your surroundings, convince and judge well-considered and independent;
You are focused on development, not only of yourself but also of your colleagues and the organization;
You enjoy working in project teams on leading projects.
