We ARE Renewables is looking for a Senior Engineer Cable Installation Analysis.
You will be assisting the project engineering team in this capacity, conducting analyses to improve the operational planning and workability of the cable lay vessel, and producing clear reports that will be utilized for cable pull-in and cable installation offshore. If the project engineering team has any questions about cable lay installation, cable pull ins, on bottom stability, or free spans analysis, you will be their point of contact.
Tasks & Responsibilities:

Be the project contact point for any matters related to cable lay and related analysis.
Gathering and check the data required to perform the analysis.
Advise project team on how to optimise the cable lay vessel workability and planning
Run the analysis in connection to the cable vessel operations: (pull in, cable lay, on bottom stability, etc) with Orcaflex and Python, and produce the associated report.
Depending on workload, delegate the work to more junior analysis engineers, supervise them, and ensure that all analysis report are issued on time.
Support tender with analysis estimation.
Optimize working process.
Support cable vessel operations offshore.

Requirements:

Master of mechanics/marine/naval or equivalent
Good Analytical skills
A good knowledge of Orcaflex
Programming skills, ideally Python / VBA
At least 3 years in a cable/ flexible installation analysis department
Offshore experience would be beneficial
Knowledge of sea fastening/ rigging design would be beneficial
