Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are currently partnering with a highly reputable engineering consultancy to support the growth of their geotechnical team, in their Perth office. We have an opportunity for a professional engineer with a profound understanding of geotechnical engineering principles, robust problem-solving skills, and an enthusiasm for introducing innovative engineering solutions.

About the opportunity
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer within this engineering consultancy, you will be responsible for stakeholder management, project management and technical leadership capabilities. You will contribute to medium-large scale projects, predominantly within civil infrastructure and rail sectors. Working alongside a talented team of engineers, you will play a crucial role in the growing team.
Main responsibilities include:

Lead projects on behalf of clients (medium scale projects).
Monitor the performance for various projects and identify viable solutions, as and when required.
Build strong relationships with clients and contribute to revenue generation.
Pursue new business and seek additional business from current clients.
Provide guidance and meaningful support to junior engineers.
Collaborate productively with other disciplinary teams on a range of projects.

About you
You are an ambitious Senior Geotechnical Engineer who encompasses true leadership qualities. Ideally, you’ve come from an engineering consultancy, client-side or professional services background. You thrive in collaborative environments and are dedicated to delivering high-quality engineering solutions, propelling the team forward – together.
Essential requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. A postgraduate degree in geotechnical engineering would be advantageous.
Minimum of 10+ years’ of experience in geotechnical engineering.
Professional Membership Engineers Australia (MIEAust).
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng), or working towards – highly advantageous.
Excellent understanding of Australian geotechnical engineering standards and guidelines.
Strong people leadership skills.
