We ARE looking for a Lead Engineer to be involved with the preparation and execution of an inter-array cable project.
In this role you will have overall control of project engineering, documentation, and analysis for both onshore and offshore activities. You will be in charge of coordinating a team of engineers, communicating with clients, and collaborating with cross-functional departments to ensure successful project completion.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Develop and present engineering solutions to clients;
Taking over the project from proposals team, review agreed contract, employers’ requirements and tender documentation to ensure project delivery;
Develop & monitor Master Document Register or the Operation documentation during the engineering phase of the project;
Develop method statements and/or procedures for our works regarding offshore projects;
Coordinate with all Offshore & Project Engineers for the submission of “as-built” documentation in timely manner as per project’s requirements;
Review detailed engineering reports, procedures, manuals and method statements and ensure compliance with end-client’s requirements;
Liaise with internal departments and external parties (i.e., subcontractors) for the preparation of documentation;
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed;
Occasionally travelling to meet and attend client meetings; Minimum one trip per month
Project monitoring on board the vessel when needed;
When on site, optimize and implement the method statements in practice and taking the lead when necessary;
Taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the project management;
Review and coordinate deliverables from the engineering department;
Ensure project is implemented in accordance with the plan;
Provide support and advice to the Project Manager and Offshore Team Manager with regards to project engineering issues during all phases of the project.
Present flexibility in problem solving during the construction phase according to the actual site conditions

Requirements:

A higher university degree in Engineering; Preferably in Civil Engineering;
Experience in Offshore Windfarms in the below scopes:

1. Cable jointing,
2. Cable laying,
3. SLB
4. PLB
5. Mattresses Installation
6. Rock Dumping

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, GIS software (e.g. Global Mapper) and CAD software required.
8 years experience in project engineering or as a lead engineer will be a plus;
Strong understanding of engineering processes;
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language;
Additional working knowledge of other foreign languages, (e.g. German will be a strong plus) are not prerequisite but are to be considered as extra skills;
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills;
Experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders;
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently;

Location: Remote (during project preparation) + offshore afterwards when required
