About the Role:

As the VP of Construction, you will assume a critical position overseeing and managing all aspects of retail construction projects across the US. In this role as the owner's representative, your responsibility will extend from project inception to completion. Based in our Boston office, this position will require frequent travel to project sites nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic leadership and direction as the owner's representative, ensuring the successful delivery of retail projects within budget, timeline, and quality requirements.
Oversee the entire construction process, effectively managing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resources.
Collaborate closely with design and development teams, contractors, and vendors to align project goals, coordinate activities, and resolve any issues or conflicts.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including tenants, property owners, and local authorities, ensuring seamless project execution and adherence to regulatory standards.
Implement effective risk mitigation strategies while ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Drive best practices in construction management, including value engineering, cost control, quality assurance, and comprehensive project reporting.
Continually evaluate and improve construction processes, identifying opportunities for innovation and enhanced efficiency.
Lead a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to foster project success and enable professional growth.

Requirements for Success:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong emphasis on retail projects.
Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex retail construction projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
Sound understanding of construction processes, building codes, industry regulations, and best practices.
Exceptional leadership skills, possessing the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
Willingness to travel across the US.
