TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Innovate and devise machines or components of machines using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) software, aligning with project guidelines.
Actively contribute to product innovation by formulating inventive solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce production times, and elevate levels of reliability, safety, and ergonomics.
Analyze and evaluate the mechanical structures of new machines, employing mechatronics perspectives and integrating diverse domains such as control theory, dynamic model reduction, and optimization.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering degree from ETH, university, or equivalent in Mechanical/Mechatronics.
Demonstrated expertise (minimum 5 years) as a mechanical engineer in a machine tool manufacturing company.
Inclination towards cost-oriented design and proficiency in the design-for-assembly concept.
Mastery of mechatronics, encompassing dynamical systems and control. In-depth understanding of Feedback control systems, System identification, Nonlinear Dynamics, Control system design, and optimization.
Proficiency in FEM Analysis, encompassing static and vibrational mechanics, thermal analysis, all conducted with the ANSYS suite. Familiarity with model order reduction.
Proficiency in CAD (Solid Edge – Inventor considered an asset).
Proficiency in Matlab Simulink / Python.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point.
General technical acumen (hardware, software, laboratory).
Knowledge of EDM.
Proficiency in Italian and English; German and French language skills are advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills, persuasive ability, collaborative mindset, and group-oriented work approach.
Efficiency and quick thinking, adept at managing multiple tasks, inquisitive, persistent, and committed to verifying information.
