We have an exciting new contract paralegal role that may be of interest.

CLIENT

The firm is one of Australia’s leading property development companies with projects spanning the commercial, residential and retail sectors. You will work inside the business as part of the in-house legal team. You will report to 2 senior lawyers with 20+ years combined experience and assist with the provision of the legal advice to the wider business.

YOUR DUTIES

The role will encompass some or all of the following responsibilities:

– preparing first drafts of commercial and retail leasing agreements using existing precedent templates;
– preparing first drafts of various other property and commercial agreements using existing precedent templates;
– drafting legal letters;
– preparing leasing summaries;
– preparing summaries of agreements relating to site acquisitions or disposals;
– due diligence searches and reports;
– property searches; and
– legal research.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

The client is looking for a paralegal who has paid prior experience obtained either in a law firm or in house. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked with commercial real estate contracts previously or in the alternative have had conveyancing experience working with commonly used software platforms like PEXA.

The company office is located in Redfern though the legal team work remotely. Experience with working remotely will be advantageous also.

The initial contract date is 6 weeks however, the client is willing to extend this role for the right candidate. Like all Yegal roles, it’s important to make a good first impression
