Our esteemed client in Australia is currently seeking skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Draftspersons to join their dynamic team. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in creating detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical devices and equipment. This role requires precision, excellent technical drawing skills, and a good understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

To be considered for this role, applicants must:

Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson.
Provide a portfolio showcasing previous drafting work, along with supporting documents such as qualifications, work history, a valid passport, and police clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed technical drawings and plans for mechanical machinery and components.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and specifications.
Utilise computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate and clear drawings.
Revise and update existing drawings and plans as required.
Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
Participate in project meetings and provide technical input and advice.
Manage and maintain the documentation of design files and drafts.
Keep abreast of the latest developments in CAD technology and mechanical engineering.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in mechanical drafting.
Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering technology or a related field.
Proficiency in CAD software and other related technical tools.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Physical fitness and ability to work in various environments, if site visits are required.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, for effective communication.
