Have substantial experience in fitting and turning, with a minimum of 5 years in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret technical drawings and plans to understand machinery and component specifications.
Perform precise measurements and calculations for machining, fitting, and assembly tasks.
Operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut and shape metal parts.
Assemble, fit, and install machined parts into mechanisms and machines.
Conduct regular maintenance and repair work on machinery, ensuring optimal functionality.
Collaborate with engineers and other professionals on mechanical design and modifications.
Adhere to strict safety protocols and quality standards in all work processes.
Diagnose issues in machinery and mechanical systems and provide effective solutions.
Maintain detailed records of all machining, fitting, and maintenance work.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Fitter & Turner role.
Relevant qualifications or apprenticeship in mechanical fitting and turning.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform precise measurements.
