About The Role:

To oversee and manage field drilling operations on a single rig, ensuring compliance with company standards and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Adherence to company ESHMS, Asset Management, and QMS within the designated area of responsibility.
Representation of the organization in a positive and professional manner, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
Mentorship and training of all crews within the drilling division.
Liaison with project representatives and management of logistics at the field level.
Facilitation of competency assessments and completion of training requirements for both internal staff and client onboarding.
Imparting knowledge and leadership standards, including personal presentation, performance expectations, competency, and adherence to instructions.
Communication with management, workshop, and service providers as applicable.
Leadership and support in incident reporting and investigations.
Facilitation of emergency preparedness procedures.

Main Duties:

Serve as the primary point of contact for client liaison in the field, maintaining a positive and professional representation of the company.
Oversee the loading and unloading of equipment before and after contracts.
Assume responsibility for day-to-day field and drill rig operations.
Ensure implementation and compliance with ESHMS within the designated area of responsibility.
Conduct field purchasing of products as authorized.
Provide direction on work standards and conduct field training of junior staff as per company instructions.
Deliver accurate and timely reporting to headquarters, including maintenance schedules.
Utilize electronic devices for daily reporting and synchronization for live data transfer.
Utilize technologies to meet company and client expectations effectively.
Complete ESHMS documentation, such as rig, vehicle, SWP, plant & equipment induction checklists, and reporting schedules.
Maintain production and productivity in accordance with work schedules determined by line management.
Report faults and implement corrective actions where applicable.
Promote ongoing awareness and compliance with all policies and procedures through personal leadership, communication, training, and audits.
Support career progression and professional development for all employees in line with company training policy.

Other Responsibilities:

Contribute to the evolution and enforcement of the organization's core work culture, housekeeping, and behavioral standards.
Perform additional duties as required.

HR Licence (minimum)
White Card
Current First Aid Certificate
Ability to pass the company medical including drug & alcohol screening
Cert III in Drilling Operations (desirable)
Working at heights Certificate (desirable)
HRWL-LF (desirable)
Police Clearance Certificate (desirable)
