ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of its client, a leading Food manufacturer and distributer, is currently seeking to recruit a Production Manager, with a basis in Limassol, Cyprus.

Production Manager - Ref. (5564/PM/ESS/CY)

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Production and Factory Manager, the Production Manager plays a pivotal and strategic role within the organization, since he/she will be fully responsible for managing, supervising, and overseeing all processes and employees of the Poultry cutting Department, based on the company's guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepares the production schedule, taking into account all parameters.
Controls, monitors and coordinates all processes and tasks of the team.
Ensures timely availability of staff and materials required for the production process.
Trains and monitors the performance of employees based on the company's procedures.
Conducts annual evaluations of his team members.
Calculates the completion time of each task, costs the entire process, and ensures that the quality standards to be followed are in accordance with the specifications set by the company in collaboration with the quality department.
Adjusts the goals or reschedules production as required, in consultation with his supervisor.
Responsible for achieving the immediate and short-term goals set by the Production and Factory Manager.
Maintains continuous communication with the departments involved for the smooth conduct of work. Adjusts the production schedule according to orders.
In consultation with the Management, proposes/develops and implements action plans and strategies for the development of production processes.
Prepares and maintains files/reports.
Prepares the annual budget of his department.
Responsible for planning/programming/maintaining the procedures followed by the company and takes necessary actions for the smooth conduct of work, including disciplinary issues, absences from work, training, evaluations, etc.
Encourages and motivates his subordinates to work efficiently.
Follows and accurately applies the Safety & Health and Food Quality regulations followed by the company based on standards.
Obligatory reports to the quality department, regarding any changes concerning production processes, equipment, or mandatory replacement of raw materials for timely system change.
Reports directly to the Safety & Health Officer promptly with regards to accidents, or unsafe conditions, and /or actions that may come to his attention immediately.
Performs related duties as may be requested by the Production and Factory Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of previous experience in a similar position.
Previous experience in a food factory will be considered an additional qualification.
Strong knowledge of HACCP, costing, hygiene, and legislation matters.
Excellent knowledge of the Greek and the English language.
Leadership skills, team spirit, responsible and manage all matters in the strictest of confidence.
Ability to take initiative and apply prompt and critical problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management skills. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in low temperatures (European legislation).
Allergy/illness/condition free or any other that would affect his/her health in such an environment.
Excellent production performance within the required working hours.
