Skip/Hook Truck Driver (Malaga and Wattleup locations)

Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Skip/Hook Truck Driver to join our team, responsible for delivering and picking up bins in the Metro area, including building sites, as well as commercial and residential locations. This role requires physical fitness as it involves a high level of activity and physical labor.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a skip/hook truck to deliver and pick up bins in various locations including building sites, commercial areas, and residential properties
Perform frequent in-and-out truck activities to assist with loading and unloading bins
Ensure safe and efficient operation of the skip/hook truck
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of the vehicle
Adhere to all safety protocols and road regulations
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and services performed
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements:

Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
Experience operating a skip/hook truck preferred
Ability to handle physical tasks, including frequent truck exits and entries
Strong understanding of road safety regulations
Excellent driving record with no recent traffic violations
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job

Physical Requirements:

Ability to operate heavy machinery for extended periods
Comfortable with physical labor, including getting in and out of the truck frequently
Capable of working in various weather conditions

Casual - $36.50 per hour flat. Full time is dependent on performance - $31-34 per hour + time and a half.
