On behalf of our client, a modern, innovative, and transformative insurance company, we are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Accountant based in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Accountant – Ref. 5651/A/ESS/CY

Main Responsibilities:

Accurately post invoices into the accounting system, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
Conduct necessary reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
Manage supplier payments and maintain the supplier ledger, ensuring all entries reconcile with supplier statements.
Assist in month-end closing procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Support ad hoc reporting requirements as needed.
Assist in the preparation for and participation in the annual audit, ensuring all submission deadlines are met.
Collaborate effectively with other finance team members to meet all internal and external reporting deadlines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree level in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in a relevant accounting and finance role is essential.
Previous experience in the Insurance industry will be an advantage.
Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Numerate with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
