Reconciliation Accountant – Ref. 5652/FA/ESS/CY

Key Responsibilities:

Reconcile financial data between the policy production system and bank transactions, ensuring accurate processing in the finance system.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports by thoroughly analyzing and verifying data.
Process and manage refunds and cancellations in alignment with company policies.
Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of closing balances, ensuring consistency across systems.
Accurately reconcile sales taxes and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent qualifications (LCCI Higher in Accounting is acceptable); pursuing ACCA/AAT/CAT qualifications is an advantage.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, data reconciliation, or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions like PIVOT tables; experience with Python or Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
Proven ability to manage large datasets and perform detailed financial reconciliations, especially in accounting contexts.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills; knowledge of Greek and/or Romanian is an advantage.
Adaptable, proactive, and able to work effectively both independently and within a team.
Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and handle complex financial transactions.
Experience with big data reconciliations, managing receivables with sales invoices, bank reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies using accounting software.
Previous experience in industries such as e-commerce, insurance, technology, or services is preferred.
