On behalf of our client, a leading International Group of Companies in the Oil and Gas sector, we are seeking a driven and ambitious Renewable Energy Project Engineer to join their team based at their HQ in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Renewable Energy Project Engineer - Ref. (5677/REE/ESS/CY)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Apply knowledge of renewable energy systems to design, construct, and operate PV, wind, and energy storage projects.
Monitor and stay informed about relevant legislation and ensure compliance with licensing and permitting frameworks.
Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures by staff and contractors during construction and operations.
Analyze performance data of operating projects and propose improvements for enhanced efficiency.
Participate in meetings with developers to ensure the application and monitoring of commercial agreements.
Conduct site visits to evaluate potential new projects, including PV, wind, and storage.
Collaborate with developers, landowners, external advisors, and support teams to ensure project progress and compliance.
Communicate with external consultants and authorities to expedite project development, management, and construction.
Oversee the performance of operating projects, resolve issues with O&M contractors, and ensure service efficiency.
Supervise the construction of new projects in cooperation with the central construction team at headquarters in Greece.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline required.
Postgraduate studies in Renewables or related field are advantageous.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the Cyprus renewable energy market in a similar role, with previous experience in photovoltaics.
Understanding of the regulatory and legislative framework for renewable energy in Cyprus.
Excellent proficiency in both Greek and English languages, both verbal and written.
Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, project management applications, and PV design and energy study software like PVSyst.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
