ICAP Executive Search & Selection, on behalf of our client, a leading International Group of Companies in the Oil and Gas sector, we are seeking an Operations and Safety Engineer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will oversee and ensure the safe operations and maintenance of their oil storage and distribution terminal.

Operations and Safety Engineer (5696/OSE/CY/ESS)

Job Overview:

In this position, the individual will be responsible for maintaining safety compliance within the terminal, addressing equipment issues, and enhancing day-to-day operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who can handle intricate control systems, coordinate routine maintenance, and contribute to emergency responses as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily activities within the liquid fuel storage facility, monitoring both from the control room and on-site as necessary.
Ensure safe operation of the facility according to established internal protocols, both remotely and on-site when required.
Maintain a secure and effective shift by upholding operational standards.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and supervise adherence to facility regulations.
Prepare detailed reports on software management systems as needed.
Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with emergency procedures.
Manage software systems utilized within the installation.
Identify and address any issues in the operating systems, providing reports as necessary.
Coordinate maintenance activities from the control room to guarantee smooth facility operations.
Oversee the process of product intake and monitor HSSE compliance.
Raise concerns and suggest improvements based on observed operational issues.
Apply best practices to enhance overall operational performance.

Requirements:

University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical).
Master’s degree will be considered an advantage.
At least 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English language, both verbal and written.
IT literate with excellent use of Microsoft Office.
Team oriented with strong collaborative skills.
Strong critical and analytical thinking, numerical skills and attention to detail.
Flexible and adaptable.
