What You Will Do

This role will be instrumental in overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing payroll. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
General Ledger Management: Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Audit Preparation: Coordinate with external auditors and prepare all necessary documentation for annual audits.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and collections.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and provide recommendations for optimizing working capital.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
Provide timely reports for the Company’s outside tax firm.
Manage the Company’s payroll process, including processing payroll and handling pay changes and benefits enrollment.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1 year in a management role preferred. Experience in the CPG industry is highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting in a manufacturing or retail environment is a plus.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Benefits

● The base salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually. In addition to the base salary, there is potential for a performance bonus and stock options.
