What You Will Do

In addition to the end-to-end execution of primary quantitative research, the Insight Manager also plays a key role in the training and development of other mindsighters.

Responsibilities:

Lead the quantitative research project(s), including questionnaire design, sampling plan, analytic plan, report design and report analysis
Execute questionnaire creation, revisions and finalization, ensuring that client research objectives will be met
Work with insight analysts, associate(s), operations partners to ensure proper study programming, quality control and fieldwork, and data delivery
Conduct analysis and complete research summaries, ensuring strategic insight(s) areboth clearly communicated and delivered as requested
Present and/or communicate research results to various audiences, including client senior management
Work with insight analysts and associates to support the execution of Floodlight projects, ensuring client objectives are met
Develop understanding of client categories, brands, and business dynamics and utilize that understanding to craft thoughtful deliverables and deliver an excellent client experience
Manage and coordinate multiple research projects and timelines so as to deliver on time and in accordance with client request(s)
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and execute work with a high degree of accuracy and precision
Communicate frequently and effectively both with internal and external stakeholders; set clear expectations and follow up appropriately and in a timely manner
Contribute to the development of the mindsight organization through enhancing company capabilities and helping associate managers and analysts to learn2
Review insight analysts and associates project work (e.g. questionnaires, sampling plans, reports etc.) to ensure both client objectives are being met, but also provide thoughtful feedback to help other mindsighters learn and grow
Act as the voice of the customer, proactively sharing the feedback received in the course of managing client relationships to inform product enhancements and innovation
Use your functional knowledge and influence to create efficiencies within projects (forecast issues or roadblocks, ask clarifying questions, etc.)
Support the development of company culture, processes, and best practices
Operate with integrity in all aspects of business relationships, internally and externally

Qualifications:

3+ years primary market research or related experience
2-3 years developing quantitative research surveys, including, but not limited to, Concept Tests, Product tests, Variety sorts, Attitude & Usage and Equity Trackers and other custom research studies
MBA, in business, marketing, psychology or related field preferred; BS considered with strong experience
Well-developed understanding of research techniques used to assess concepts/products/programs, identify targets, and monitor business performance are all required
Experience mentoring, training and/or managing other researchers, preferred but not required
Demonstrated ability to use quantitative research tools and techniques to answer key research questions and address business objectives
Detailed understanding of quantitative market research methodologies, sampling practices, analytical tools (statistical testing), and best practices
Demonstrated ability to interpret results and draw conclusions from analyses; troubleshoot errors in data and interpretation
