What You Will Do

As a member of the Executive Leadership Team of a PE owned company, you will be responsible for driving the business to a successful and profitable exit. You will harness your established relationships in the Consumer space, focusing on consumer electronics, hardlines, and impulse/check lane to drive growth and success in the ever-evolving retail market. You will lead a dedicated team of sales professionals, fostering connections with retailers in multiple classes of trade, including Food, Drug, Mass, Club, C-stores, Specialty, and Online including establishing a DTC presence.

Responsibilities:

Act as a “hands-on player-coach”, with the ability to both manage a team providing mentorship and coaching to drive performance and achieve sales targets, while also actively contributing to sales efforts through a personal book of business.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the consumer goods and electronics market.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key sales reps, distributors, and strategic partners in the Consumer space, particularly within consumer electronics, to secure and grow accounts with major retail brands such as Walmart, Target, Amazon, and Costco. Alternative channels could include Airport and Convenience.
Collaborate with the CEO to align sales strategies with company goals, reporting on national sales results, and providing insights for continuous improvement.
Oversee the sales pipeline, maintaining a metrics driven spreadsheet with a strong head for deliverables to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to support sales objectives, ensuring brand visibility across multiple retail channels.
Manage our brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms, enhancing the company’s value proposition in the marketplace.
Track and analyze key marketing KPIs, continuously optimizing efforts to improve ROI and meet PE-backed performance goals.
Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation through launch, ensuring alignment with market needs and consumer trends.
Manage the product portfolio, identifying gaps and opportunities to introduce new products or refine existing offerings.
Collaborate with sales and marketing to ensure product launches align with seasonal trends and retail events, maximizing sales potential.

Who You Are

You are a strategic and accomplished sales leader with established relationships across a number of retailers and vendors. You possess superior communication skills and are a closer by nature. Self-motivated for success and driven to learn every day, you’re ready to lead a small team to increase revenues and market share.

Qualifications:

15+ years of progressive sales leadership (C-suite, VP, Director level)
Strong experience in consumer electronics or similar industry
Data driven, strategic, self-motivated and focused on executing on revenue goals
Experience breaking into Amazon or expanding Amazon relationships
Excellent rapport and relationships with distributors / retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Costco, Aldi, Walgreens, and CVS
Previous experience working in a PE-owned company is a plus
Direct-to-Consumer experience is a preferred
