What You Will Do

The Director of Education is responsible for overseeing and strategically developing Vital Planet's education initiatives, managing the education team, and ensuring the effective dissemination of product knowledge to retailers and consumers. This role leads the creation and implementation of educational programs that drive sales growth and brand awareness.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the National Field Educator and Phone Educator positions, providing leadership, guidance, and performance management
Develop and implement comprehensive education strategies aligned with Vital Planet's business objectives and product portfolio; set measurable goals for the education department and track key performance indicators (KPIs) by creating and maintaining reporting systems to monitor the effectiveness of educational programs and team performance
Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing departments to ensure educational initiatives support overall business strategies
Lead the development and updating of educational content, including training materials, presentations, and product information sheets
Organize and conduct high-level trainings for key accounts, conferences, and industry events; conduct periodic training sessions for internal teams to maintain a high level of product knowledge across the organization
Manage the onboarding process for new hires from an educational perspective, ensuring they are well-versed in Vital Planet products and company values
Develop and oversee the education department budget
Stay current with industry trends, scientific research, and competitive landscape to inform educational strategies
Oversee the expansion and improvement of the Associate Education Program (AEP)
Implement innovative education methods, including e-learning platforms and multimedia content
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all educational materials and programs

Who You Are

You are a dynamic professional with a strong foundation in the Natural Products industry, including educational leadership, to create and drive impactful training programs. You’re passionate about health and wellness, thrive in leading teams, and excel in data analysis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Nutrition, Biology, Education); Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Natural Products industry, with at least 3 years in an educational or training role
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful education programs
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; advanced presentation and public speaking abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with e-learning platforms a plus
Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and reporting
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Deep understanding of the natural health and wellness market
Experience in content creation and curriculum development
