Head of Operations

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Head of Operations to lead client onboarding and implementation processes for a fast-growing fintech startup. This role involves overseeing a team of Project Managers, Solutions Architects, and Onboarding Specialists, ensuring that all client implementations progress efficiently while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a background in consulting, project management, and technical product implementation.

Challenges you would face

Manage multiple client onboarding and implementation projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality expectations are met
Lead and mentor a team of project managers, solutions architects, and onboarding specialists
Collaborate with engineering teams to coordinate technical requirements and troubleshoot issues
Identify opportunities to streamline onboarding workflows and implement best practices
Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation phase, managing expectations and delivering updates
Manage relationships with external providers to ensure seamless integration with company systems

The ideal candidate

+5 years of consulting experience at a top strategy firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or specialized firms (e.g., Oliver Wyman, Accenture, Deloitte)
Proven project management skills, particularly with complex implementation projects
Experience with technical and financial product implementations, including familiarity with integrations
Exceptional communication skills for aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders
Technical aptitude to work closely with engineering teams and understand technical requirements

Plus

MBA from a top business school
Experience in fintech or financial product implementation
Leadership experience in a startup or high-growth company, particularly in tech or fintech sectors
