Job Description

As a Senior Plumbing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of comprehensive plumbing systems for high-rise buildings. Your responsibilities will include:

Design and Analysis:
- Develop detailed plumbing system designs, including piping layouts, equipment selection, and hydraulic calculations.
- Conduct thorough analysis of plumbing systems to ensure code compliance, energy efficiency, and optimal performance.
- Utilize advanced engineering software and tools to model and simulate plumbing systems.
Project Management:
- Lead and manage plumbing engineering teams on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems.
- Develop project schedules, track progress, and manage project budgets.
Client Collaboration:
- Establish strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.
- Present design concepts and technical information to clients in a clear and concise manner.
Code Compliance and Standards:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest building codes, standards, and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
- Adhere to sustainable design principles and incorporate energy-efficient strategies.
Construction Administration:
- Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve field issues.
- Provide technical support to contractors and construction teams.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
10+ years of experience in plumbing engineering, with a strong focus on high-rise building design.
Proven expertise in the design of domestic water, sanitary drainage, storm water, and fire protection systems.
In-depth knowledge of building codes, standards, and industry best practices.
Proficiency in engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic analysis tools.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
