What You Will Do

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Operations to help scale our high-growth company. As the VP of Operations, you will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment and efficiency across departments including sales, marketing, supply chain, product development, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operational leadership within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, particularly in the snack or confectionery sector. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, scrappy environment, where resources are often limited, yet you have demonstrated the ability to scale a brand to the next stage of growth. You will play a key role in driving our strategic vision, executing operational plans, and building out the infrastructure needed to support the company’s continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement company-wide operational strategies that align with the business’s goals, focusing on driving efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.
Work closely with the executive team to drive the company’s growth, aligning teams across sales, marketing, product development, and operations to ensure smooth execution of business plans and seamless customer experience.
In conjunction with the leadership team, oversee revenue growth, including sales strategy, trade spend, and pricing decisions. Work to optimize margin while delivering the best possible consumer experience. Collaborate with the sales team to expand market share and enter new channels and markets.
Ensure operational scalability, including supply chain management, production, distribution, and inventory control. Optimize processes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain product quality.
Lead and manage relationships with multiple co-manufacturers, ensuring alignment on production schedules, quality standards, and cost management. Oversee the negotiation and execution of contracts, monitor performance metrics, and troubleshoot any issues to ensure timely delivery and product consistency.
Drive the company’s long-term strategic plan, building a scalable infrastructure that supports the company’s ambitions. Develop talent, support leadership team growth, and ensure the right operational structure is in place.
Collaborate with the sales team to identify and/or ensure capabilities when pursuing new business opportunities, including new retail channels, geographic markets, and potential product lines. Ensure all initiatives are aligned with the brand’s vision and values.
Mitigate operational risks by ensuring compliance with industry regulations, maintaining quality standards, and putting in place robust systems for managing business continuity.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and suppliers. Ensure that JOYRIDE’s brand is represented with integrity and consistency across all external touchpoints.
Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across all areas of the business, ensuring the company remains agile and responsive to changing market dynamics.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Marketing, or related field; MBA optional but preferred.
7+ years of progressive experience in senior operational leadership roles within the CPG industry, with a focus on food or confectionery.
Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, scaling businesses, and executing against ambitious growth targets.
Experience working with a founder-led company and leading it through a high-growth phase.
Experience in managing supply chain operations and logistics for fast-growing consumer brands.
Experience managing multiple co-manufacturers, ensuring production quality, and resolving issues to ensure timely delivery.
