An Am Law 100 law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel level attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice in New Jersey. Job Description

The role involves counseling New Jersey and New York employers on all employment-related matters including but not limited to wage and hour laws, reasonable accommodations, leave policies, enforcement of non-compete and non-solicit agreements, and handling administrative claims and audits. Although the position focuses primarily on counseling, litigation experience is a plus.

Job Requirements

Experience: At least 10 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a strong preference for candidates who have handled both counseling and litigation.
Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills are essential, along with a meticulous attention to detail.
Education: Solid academic performance in law school.
Licensing: Must be in good standing with the NJ and NY State Bars.
Preferred Experience: Experience drafting handbooks, employment agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements. Experience in conducting internal audits and responding to due diligence inquiries is preferred but not essential.

Compensation

Salary Range: $310,000-$410,000, based on experience and qualifications.
