Our client is seeking a Data Architect to lead architectural discussions, design data migration solutions, and collaborate with global teams. The role involves working with cutting-edge cloud platforms and tools to ensure effective and secure data storage and migration. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for innovative data solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Challenges you would face

Lead the design and implementation of large-scale data migration solutions
Analyze system requirements and develop migration methods for existing data
Ensure data security and effectiveness throughout migration processes
Collaborate with teams across the UK and Portugal to deliver robust data architectures
Develop and automate ETL/ELT ingestion pipelines using tools like DataStage, Informatica, and Matillion
Utilize cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for scalable data solutions
Apply data modeling techniques to optimize database structures
Guide clients and team members with strong communication and leadership skills

The ideal candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field
6+ years of experience in data warehousing, BI, or analytics
3+ years of experience as a Data Architect
3+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Proficiency in migration strategies, dev/ops practices, and ETL/ELT tools
Experience in data modeling and database optimization
Strong project management skills and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Plus

Hands-on experience with advanced data integration and automation tools
Certifications in cloud technologies or data platforms
Proven ability to lead diverse, distributed teams
