What You Will Do

We seek a Director of Manufacturing who is a strong leader to bring structure, growth, and mentorship, helping us drive data-driven decisions and process improvements that elevate every aspect of our operations. In this role, you will lead and drive continuous improvement across all manufacturing functions, creating a culture that champions Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other waste reduction methodologies. You will oversee the execution of daily production plans, ensure high standards of safety and quality, and mentor your team to take ownership of their work, while optimizing processes in maintenance, engineering, and materials handling to support seamless production flow.

Responsibilities:

Champion and implement continuous improvement strategies, focusing on Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, and waste reduction to drive better process, results and team engagement.
Lead the day-to-day execution of production plans, overseeing all aspects of processing, sub-assembly, final assembly, and pack-out to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
Own key P&L metrics including direct and indirect labor, materials usage variance.
Own key manufacturing metrics like OEE, safety, and quality, while fostering a team culture of accountability and ownership.
Optimize maintenance plans and team to prevent downtime, minimize ad hoc repairs, and oversee facilities team to ensure equipment and workspaces are ready to for production, safe and operational.
Oversee the setup of new lines and tooling, and lead engineering teams to support process improvements and new product launches.
Ensure smooth coordination between manufacturing, engineering, and warehousing to minimize disruptions and meet production goals.
Mentor and develop a team of tenured employees, creating a culture of learning and continuous growth.
Collaborate with leadership to improve processes, set metrics, and enhance operational performance across all departments.

Qualifications:

10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing environments, including 5+ years in management-level roles; Background in food manufacturing strongly preferred
Strong continuous improvement background (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma)
Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent experience/degree preferred
Proficient in Microsoft and/or Google Suite
Experience in production management and at least one other related discipline (QA, Maintenance, Warehousing, etc.), with a strong background in performance management and KPIs within a manufacturing environment
Formal project management skills required
Lean Manufacturing Green Belt or higher preferred
Strong financial acumen and P&L knowledge
