About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Livestock Vet to join our team. This role involves overseeing the health and wellbeing of all livestock on the farm, ensuring high standards of veterinary care, biosecurity, and welfare practices in alignment with company policies and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate day-to-day health operations across all livestock operations as directed by the Livestock and Forage Manager.
Perform regular health checks, diagnose illnesses, administer treatments, and manage preventative care measures including vaccinations and foot care.
Implement and monitor the biosecurity plan to prevent disease outbreaks.
Manage breeding programs and artificial insemination processes as per protocol.
Prepare and analyze samples (milk, eggs, chicken) for laboratory testing in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain accurate records of veterinary procedures, consumables used, and livestock health data.
Train and supervise new employees in livestock management practices.
Ensure a safe working environment for all staff in compliance with health and safety policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine.
Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills.

Key Competencies:

Extensive knowledge of livestock diseases and health management.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with animal care and veterinary procedures.
Strong leadership skills to oversee staff and ensure compliance with farm protocols.

Work Environment:

The role requires working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Physical tasks may involve lifting and other physically demanding activities.
The company will provide all necessary protective equipment and clothing.
