We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Lead of Business Development ($167K–$191K / year) to lead our sales and partnerships efforts.
Reporting to the executive team, you will be responsible for building and managing a high-performing BD team, overseeing the sales pipeline, driving revenue growth, and securing high-value deals.

You will also represent the company at key Web3 events and work cross-functionally to align sales strategies with company objectives.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in sales leadership, a strong track record of closing complex deals, and deep knowledge of the DeFi/Web3 ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management – Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing BD team, enforcing best practices for pipeline management and forecasting.
Pipeline & Deal Ownership – Oversee inbound and outbound sales efforts, lead complex negotiations, and collaborate with legal teams to finalize agreements.
Strategic Communication & Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with high-value clients and partners while ensuring seamless internal collaboration.
Forecasting & Process Optimization – Own forecasting processes, provide revenue reports, and implement methodologies like MEDDIC to enhance BD performance.
Event & Market Development – Represent the company at Web3, Blockchain, and DeFi events to expand partnerships and business opportunities.

Requirements

7+ years of experience in sales, with 3+ years in leadership roles, preferably in Web3, DeFi, Fintech, or SaaS.
Proven track record of driving and closing high-value deals.
Extensive experience managing legal and commercial negotiations.
Strong understanding of DeFi, Web3, and blockchain concepts and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales methodologies like MEDDIC or SPIN Selling.
Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
Based in New York, with hybrid work flexibility and willingness to travel (up to 25%).
