Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 USD (Incentive-based Commission Structure)
On-Target Earnings (OTE): 2x to 3x base salary, with no cap

Job Description:

As a U.S. Sales Representative for Sustainable Building Solutions, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth within your designated territory. You will focus on identifying business opportunities and building relationships within key sectors, including higher education (universities), airports/aviation, and government/institutional buildings—industries where sustainable, energy-efficient building solutions are in increasing demand. This role requires collaboration with internal teams to tailor strategies that expand the customer base and increase market presence in these sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Sales Execution: Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to generate leads, increase market penetration, and exceed sales goals in your East Coast territory. Customize your approach to the unique needs of each sector, aligning with your client’s sustainability mission.
Collaboration: Partner with architects, engineers, and construction professionals to incorporate solar-integrated and energy-efficient building designs into projects across universities, airports, and government buildings.
Education & Advocacy: Educate decision-makers on the benefits of sustainable building technologies, emphasizing long-term energy savings, operational efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
Industry Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements within the higher education, aviation, and government sectors, positioning your client’s products as the preferred choice.
Sales Presentations: Conduct detailed product presentations tailored to the needs of each vertical, focusing on how your client’s solutions support sustainable development goals.
Sales Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution, from initial sales through to final delivery, ensuring client satisfaction and meeting project timelines.
Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular sales forecasts, progress reports, and market analysis to leadership, identifying opportunities for growth.
Brand Representation: Represent your client at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows, increasing brand visibility and generating leads.
Sector-Specific Engagement:
- Higher Education: Build relationships with university campuses, architects, and facility managers to promote sustainable building solutions.
- Airports/Aviation: Develop partnerships with airport authorities and infrastructure developers to integrate products into airport construction and renovation projects.
- Government & Institutional Buildings: Work with government agencies and contractors to incorporate sustainable solutions into public sector building projects.

Requirements:

At least 7 years of sales experience, ideally in the building materials, construction, or sustainable solutions industry, with specific experience in higher education, airports, or government buildings.
Proven success in driving revenue, meeting sales targets, and creating new business opportunities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships with decision-makers, architects, and contractors.
Expertise in negotiation and closing deals effectively.
Solid understanding of construction processes and sustainable building technologies.
Self-driven, results-oriented, and proactive in identifying new business opportunities.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
