Journeyman Electrician – Permanent Placement

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico (National Travel Required Based in New Mexico)

Pay Rate: $32 - $38 per hour

Position Overview:

Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking four highly skilled Journeyman Electricians for permanent placement to support Department of Energy (DOE) projects and other high-profile contracts. These roles require extensive commercial and industrial experience, national travel availability, and strong troubleshooting skills.

Candidates must have a Dixie Certification and be licensed through the New Mexico Construction Industries Division (JE-98). This is an immediate need, with positions open due to new contract awards and the termination of an underperforming electrician.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrical Installations: Install and repair wiring, fixtures, and electrical equipment to meet project specifications and safety standards.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime for commercial and industrial projects.
Compliance & Safety: Adhere to local, state, and federal electrical codes, including Dixie Certification requirements and Department of Energy safety protocols.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with other trades, supervisors, and project managers for timely, high-quality project completion.
Travel Readiness: Candidates must be willing to travel nationally for project assignments.

Qualifications:

8-10 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical work (sweet spot for hiring).
Must hold a valid JE-98 Journeyman Electrician License through the New Mexico Construction Industries Division - or Dixie Certification (Required)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proven track record in complex electrical systems.
Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt quickly to new job sites and project conditions.
Travel Requirement: Must be open to national travel for project assignments.
Preferred Experience Range: 8-10 years.
