Real Estate & Corporate Lawyer (Ref. 5841/RECL/ESS/GR)

Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Real Estate & Corporate Lawyer to join the team in Athens. This role involves managing property transactions, drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing corporate affairs for legal entities in Greece (such as SA and NEPA), conducting legal due diligence and mitigating risks to support seamless business operations and real estate project execution.

Responsibilities

Manage real estate transactions, including acquisitions, sales, leases, loans, and development agreements.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts such as purchase agreements, lease agreements, loan agreements, and development contracts.
Conduct legal due diligence on properties, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
Oversee contractual relationships with business partners and tenants, ensuring compliance and enforcing agreements when necessary.
Establish and register new group companies with authorities and handle their ongoing corporate affairs.
Provide legal advice on property rights, land use, development regulations and corporate matters.
Negotiate with public authorities, regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
Support dispute resolution processes related to real estate and corporate affairs.
Stay updated on Greek real estate laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Manage external legal counsel and serve as the company’s primary point of contact for legal matters.
Address due diligence inquiries from business partners and authorities and support banking and financial institution relationships.

Qualifications

Proven expertise in real estate law, with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in hospitality or commercial developments. Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate law.
Licensed to practice law in Greece.
Strong knowledge of Greek real estate regulations, zoning laws and contract law.
Experience with due diligence, property transactions and legal negotiations.
Proficiency at user level in operating Microsoft office and the government systems associated with the real estate corporate affairs of the Company (Cadastral, GEMI, TaxisNet etc.)
Fluency in Greek and English (both written and spoken), any other language is an advantage.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
