Lead Fullstack Engineer

Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a backend focus to join their growing team. This is a 5-month project with the possibility of extension up to 1 year. The role is ideal for an experienced developer with deep expertise in backend architecture and production-ready software using Next.js. You’ll be building impactful features across the stack, with a primary emphasis on backend logic, infrastructure, and scalable APIs, all within a cloud-first environment.

Challenges you would face

Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Next.js
Lead the development of production-ready backend features that integrate seamlessly with frontend applications
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure to support automated testing and deployment
Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and error tracking across systems
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and frontend developers
Optimize backend performance, data processing, and API efficiency
Contribute to the architecture and development of systems built on Google Cloud Platform

The ideal candidate

5+ years of experience in full stack or backend software development roles
Proficient in TypeScript and experienced with Next.js in production environments
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and server-side rendering
Experienced in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Comfortable writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Plus

Experience integrating AI or machine learning APIs
Background working with event tracking and analytics systems
Familiarity with infrastructure security and compliance (HIPAA, SOC2)
Knowledge of performance monitoring and observability tools
