Junior Accountant
Our client, a well-established company operating in the FMCG and pharmaceutical industries is looking to employ a Junior Accountant for their team in Nicosia.

Objective
The ideal candidate will be specialised in accounting and finance department. The candidate will work in the accounting department, alongside various business areas, and partnering with senior leaders. The candidate should constantly seek new challenges, new knowledge and growth through project involvement.

Position’s Duties and Responsibilities

Manage all accounting transactions
Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Sales/purchase administration ledger
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Ensure timely bank payments
Complete bank reconciliations
Compute VAT/taxes and prepare VAT/tax returns
Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
Help in information gathering and preparing financial information
Liaise with other team members and senior managers

Position’s Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or any other related field
1-2 years of experience in a similar role
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
Be fully qualified – LCCI Level 3 (Higher)
Be fully qualified as accounting technician will be consider an advantage
Advanced knowledge of Greek and English languages
Excellent use of MS Office (particularly in the use of spreadsheets)
Knowledge of MS Business Central will be considered as an advantage
Be commercially aware and technically excellent accountant with strong attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Good attention to detail
Self-motivation and the ability to use your initiative
The ability to work as part of a team
The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Discretion and honesty when handling confidential information.

Employer’s Details
Working hours: 8:00 – 17:30 (including lunch break from 13:00 – 14:30)
Salary range: €1,200 - €1,500 gross * 13
