Job Title: Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine

Join a dedicated team in Houston, NY that focuses on providing essential healthcare services to our nation's Veterans. This practice specializes in conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, aiding those who have served. We are seeking General Medicine Providers who are committed to delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct one-time, non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
Perform interviews and physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
Work on a PRN basis, with options for ½ day (4 hours) or full day (8 hours) shifts.
Quick credentialing and onboarding for selected candidates.
Collaborate with administrative staff to complete necessary reports and documentation.

Qualifications:

Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
Active AANP certification.
Must own a laptop (Mac/Apple products not accepted).
Valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
Willingness to complete DMA training for certification.
Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine preferred.

License and Certification Requirements:

Current New York Nurse Practitioner license.
AANP certification is required.
Additional certification(s) may be necessary based on specific skills or areas of focus.
