Our brand is on fire now but it hasn’t been long since late 2019, when we began a turnaround and rebrand of our Tandoor Chef® frozen brand and Indikitch® restaurants to Deep Indian Kitchen®. There was a need to fill with millennials and foodies actively seeking authentic ethnic experiences, but lacking high quality, modern Indian options. What You Will Do

Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Director of Sales responsible for our Mass and Club channels will have ownership of all current and future channel accounts nationwide for Deep Indian Kitchen, in partnership with headquarters and our broker partners. This role entails forging and continuing to nurture dynamic partnerships with the Deep Indian Kitchen headquarter team and our broker agencies. The Mass channel encompasses Walmart and Target, while the Club sector spans accounts such as Costco, Sam’s Club, and BJ’s; Be prepared to ignite growth and drive unparalleled market presence!

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategic growth plans tailored to key retail partners (Walmart, Target, Costco, Sams, BJs), driving mutual success
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with buyers and broker partners, ensuring seamless communication and execution
Analyze market data and sales performance to identify opportunities and optimize product placement/promotions
Drive sales and market share growth through effective forecasting, promotional planning, and in-store execution
Ensure operational excellence by managing orders, inventory, and budgets, while resolving issues proactively
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and finance to achieve sales objectives
Elevate the category conversation with our retail partners in the area of Global Flavors and penetrate above Category Manager/Buyer level
Actively contribute to developing overall Deep Indian Kitchen team culture

Who You Are

Your passion for food and CPG brands fuels your ability to develop innovative, channel-specific offerings and execute go-to-market strategies with agility.

Qualifications:

10+ years CPG sales experience with a proven track record of driving growth at key retailers, specifically Walmart and Target
Strong forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills, with experience in sales and expense management
Experience with syndicated data (SPINS, IRI) and trade management tools (i.e. Confido) with the ability to interpret data and create compelling presentations
Exceptional communication, leadership, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
A proactive mindset with attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and organize within an ambiguous and changing environment
Demonstrated experience in effectively managing broker networks.
Ability to work remotely, travel up to 30%
BA/BS degree required
