What You Will Do

Reporting into the CFO as a key member of the Finance team, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of financial data, and supporting the organization’s financial operations. This role requires a strong grasp of both technical accounting principles and day-to-day transactional processes.

Responsibilities:

Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close procedures.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close activities in compliance with GAAP.
Maintain a strong understanding of both cash and accrual accounting, and apply the appropriate methodology based on transaction types and reporting requirements.
Prepare and review account reconciliations, including cash accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Oversee AP and AR functions, ensuring timely processing and alignment with internal controls.
Responsible for the revenue recognition process and other applicable accounting standards.
Perform inventory reconciliation and work closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure proper valuation and reporting.
Prepare and analyze monthly internal financial reports, identifying key trends, variances, and recommendations for improvements.
Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
Minimum 3 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
Experience with emerging/ growth-oriented company in consumer goods preferred.
Proficient in QuickBooks Online (required); experience with NetSuite is a plus.
Strong understanding of Revenue Recognition and Inventory Accounting.
Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
Comfortable communicating across all levels of the organization.
Tech-savvy and able to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and client environments.
