Email Coder (Developer)

Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Email Marketing Coder to join their in-office team in Bogotá, Colombia. This role is responsible for coding and deploying email campaigns across multiple internal systems, collaborating with creative and technical teams to ensure high performance and adherence to industry best practices. The ideal candidate will play a key role in optimizing email campaigns for responsiveness, accessibility, and deliverability across platforms.

Challenges you would face

Code responsive HTML email templates based on creative team designs or marketing manager direction
Ensure cross-platform and cross-client compatibility for all email campaigns
Conduct QA testing using tools such as Litmus, EmailOnAcid, or similar
Troubleshoot and resolve rendering and deliverability issues during testing
Generate and implement tracking codes for all campaign links to ensure accurate performance reporting
Collaborate with marketing leads to define project scopes and identify optimization opportunities
Ensure compliance with industry best practices regarding design, accessibility, and user engagement
Oversee the deployment of email campaigns, ensuring timely and high-quality execution

The ideal candidate

3 to 5 years of experience in email marketing with a focus on email production and development
Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience with ESPs such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, Braze, or Attentive
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, SQL, and email scripting languages such as Ampscript or Jinja
Strong experience with hand-coding HTML and CSS for responsive email design
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with internal stakeholders
Strong client-service mindset with experience managing deadlines and expectations
Solid understanding of email technologies, industry best practices, and current trends
Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage campaign timelines with minimal oversight
