Full Stack Staff Software Engineer

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Full Stack Staff Software Engineer to join their Ecom Platform Team. This role is ideal for a hands-on technical leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoys solving complex challenges in e-commerce. The ideal candidate will drive innovative solutions, lead technical initiatives, and contribute to the scalability and success of core integrations with major e-commerce platforms.

Challenges you would face

Lead the development of features that improve the integration experience for partners and clients
Write efficient, scalable code to support platform growth and operational efficiency
Design and build robust integrations with Shopify, BigCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, and others
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather requirements and deliver strategic solutions
Mentor and guide other engineers, promoting a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
Proactively lead high-impact projects with a focus on quality and long-term scalability

The ideal candidate

7+ years of full stack development experience with a focus on backend technologies
Proven expertise in Node.js and Python
Comfortable working with frontend technologies such as React and Next.js
Experience leading engineering teams and delivering end-to-end product solutions
Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts
Familiarity with databases and message queues in distributed systems
Team-oriented and willing to support others to achieve shared goals

Plus

Experience with Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and serverless deployments
Background in e-commerce or high-traffic SaaS products
Experience building Shopify apps, extensions, or other e-commerce integrations
Prior experience in mid-size startup environments
