Closing new logo deals with employers (50+ employees)
Consistently building and maintaining a qualified pipeline

Responsibilities:

Drive new business development through cold calling, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach
Develop and execute a territory sales plan in collaboration with leadership
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, following Apex’s proven system
Deliver compelling executive-level presentations and proposals to decision makers
Partner with account management for seamless client onboarding and ongoing service
Maintain accurate forecasts, disciplined pipeline management, and timely reporting
Take initiative, stay results-focused, and contribute to a winning team culture

Required Criteria:

2–3+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience with consistent overperformance, ideally including six-figure+ deals
Career stability: average 2+ years per role and no more than two roles since 2020
Proven consultative experience selling directly to C-Suite leaders (CEO, CFO, CHRO, VP+)
Hunter mentality—self-sourcing and closing net-new business via cold calling, referrals, networking events, and LinkedIn outreach
Track record of navigating multi-stakeholder, consultative sales cycles and closing six-figure+ strategic deals
Strong executive presence with polished communication and presentation skills
Based in or willing to travel locally within the Indianapolis/North-Central Indiana area
Proficiency with CRM systems, forecasting, and pipeline management

Nice-to-Have Criteria:

2+ years in employee benefits consulting, group benefits sales, or health insurance brokerage
Experience in finance, business insurance, medical devices, or PEO sales
Success selling to employers with 50+ employees in a B2B or consultative environment
Experience managing longer, multi-stakeholder, six-figure+ deals

Compensation:

Base salary starting at $75K+ with first-year OTE in six figures
Top performers earn $200K+ by year two
