Job Overview:

We are seeking a smart, detail-oriented, and proactive Accounting Assistant to join our growing team at Private Home Care. The core focus of this role is bookkeeping and accounting support. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and be eager to support additional operational or sales-related tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping (Primary Focus)

Maintain accurate financial records and perform daily bookkeeping tasks
Reconcile bank statements and record transactions in a timely manner
Prepare journal entries including accruals and monthly adjustments
Support internal financial reports, budget tracking, and month-end close
Assist with dashboard creation for financial metrics and reporting
Maintain the general ledger and ensure data integrity

Sales & Operational Support (Secondary / Nice-to-Have)

Help maintain dashboards and track performance metrics for sales and operations
Coordinate with the sales team (e.g., assisting sales exec with data tracking or outreach tasks)
Assist in ordering promotional materials and supporting internal marketing campaigns
Draft and post content for social media (optional depending on interest/fit)
Maintain CRM records and help track sales data

Reporting & Tools

Create and manage reports in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, etc.)
Use WellSky for operations reporting and data validation (preferred, but not required)
Ensure accuracy and consistency in cross-functional reporting

Qualifications

Must-Have:

Solid bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced functions)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

Nice-to-Have:

Familiarity with WellSky
Experience supporting sales or marketing teams
Previous work with CRM systems
Ability to wear multiple hats and shift between accounting and admin-related tasks

Additional Info

This role is not 100% accounting-focused; ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is willing to pitch in across departments when needed
You will be supporting a small, collaborative team and playing a key part in our day-to-day operations
Training will be provided for non-accounting areas (e.g., systems like WellSky, CRM, marketing tools)
