Position Overview:
Under the direction of department supervisor or manager, the Sanitation Operator performs the cleaning and sanitization of all liquid, topical product manufacturing, transfer, delivery system components and filling equipment.

There are three openings currently, 1 on days and 2 on nights.

Position Responsibilities:

Compliance with all cGMP and SOP’s.
Take all precautions when working with cleaning and sanitizing agents as recommended by Material Safety Data Sheets and other company safety requirements.
Maintains product transfer pumps in proper operating conditions, both mechanically and compliance with sanitary cleaning procedures.
Communicate with Management and Supervisors as to the status of any equipment state of readiness.
Clean, sanitize and maintain excellent standards for facility.
Maintain accurate sanitation records.
Report inventory & equipment problems to appropriate personnel.
Clean working area and equipment after usage.
Follow appropriate sanitary procedures while handling inventory.
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment.
Dismantle, clean, sanitize and reassemble production equipment.
Follow sanitation procedures precisely, without exception.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
Must maintain facility and equipment according to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and regulated food production standards cGMPs.
Regularly work collaboratively with Maintenance Manager, Production Manager, and Supervisors.

Position Skill and Experience Requirements:

AT LEAST 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
Must conform to all quality standards of the company.
Must observe the company core values.
Must be able to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
Must have the ability to stand for up to 7 hours.
Must be willing and able to work frequently in a wet/humid & slippery environment.
Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed which can happen or change based on deliverables and PMs etc. Flexibility with schedule is KEY to being able to maintain longevity with the company in this role.
Ability to take initiative and work without close supervision.
Motivated and self-starter that takes initiative and is self-directed.
Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic and must be a contributing team player.
Must have high attention to detail.
Must have a high mechanical aptitude.
Must be organized and always keep a clean work area.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Must speak fluent English. Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful.
Must be able to write in English as there is paperwork required to document work being completed that must be accurate and recorded for auditing purposes.
Knowledge in the use of cleaning supplies & chemicals and capable of comprehending additional training in sanitation & safety regulations.
Must be self-motivated, work well under stressful conditions, and must be able to work well with diverse teams.
