What You Will Do

The Account Executive is responsible for bringing in new business through partnerships with various healthcare providers. This entails managing a current customer pipeline as well as moving customers through the sales cycle. In this role, you will employ strategic prospecting, customer calls and in-person meetings to meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.

Responsibilities

Target customers such as substance abuse centers, opioid treatment centers, pain management, urology, OBGYN, and infectious disease.
Manage any existing business within assigned territory while generating opportunities to grow the current customer base.
Partner with Business Development Director to define sales strategy that results in growth within the assigned territory.
Deliver key marketing and clinical materials to customers as provided in sales training or through specific direction from an immediate supervisor.
Track sales activity within HubSpot, including, calls, meetings, and additional lead generation activities.
Make 10 – 15 in-person calls on average per day.
Manage expenses at or below budgeted levels monthly, and always request permission in advance on expenses above per-diem or other company guidelines.
Collaborate with influencing departments that are part of the customer sales cycle.
Work in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
Comply in all respects with Company’s compliance program and participate in compliance training as often as requested by Company.

Who You Are

You have a strong understanding of toxicology, diagnostics, and the healthcare ecosystem. . You can assess a provider’s testing needs, identify gaps in service, and clearly articulate how MTL’s diagnostics improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. You exercise exceptional time management, strategic planning, and an ability to prioritize high-value accounts; and you balance prospecting, onboarding, and account retention smoothly.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited institution.
Five (5) years’ experience in direct sales of medical/life science products or services to physicians, physician offices/clinics, ambulatory surgery centers and/or hospitals.
At least two (2) or more years of direct sales of Pharmacogenetic (PGx) and/or Toxicity laboratory testing services to physicians and other health care practitioners. Intermediate to advanced MS Office knowledge.
Knowledge and consistent adherence to compliance requirements for medical/life science products including, but not limited to, Stark and Anti-Kickback regulations.
Experience with medical documentation required to support Medicare/Medicaid, Commercial Insurance and Workmen’s Compensation claims for PGx and Toxicology laboratory testing.
